Geraldine Mae Eckley Zelinsky

Geraldine Eckley Zelinsky, 77, of Hot Springs Village passed away on April 18, 2014 at a local hospital. Geraldine was born April 3, 1937 in Spencer, Iowa to the late Gerald Fred and Ethel (Smith) Eckley.

Geraldine was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and kept active in church, sang in the choir, would volunteer with different things, liked to play cards, sewing and baking.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57yrs, Gerald Zelinsky, 2 sons: Brad (Brenda) Zelinsky, Brian (Connie) Zelinsky, 1 daughter: Kris Torreson (Jeff Schutz), grandchildren: Suzanne (Nick) Matsen, Tiffany (Jacob) Ikkala, Tammy (James) Anderson, Tom (Dawn) Matthews Jr, Tonia (Grant) Gunderson, Tim Torreson, Michael Torreson, Paige Schutz, Zachary Schutz and a handful of great-grandchildren and some great-great-grandchildren, 1 sister: Marolyn Barrick, 1 brother-in-law: James (Katherine) Zelinsky, 1 sister-in-law: Janice (Richard) Endicott and some very special nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday April 23rd at Faith Lutheran Church in HSV. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M..
There will be a service in Iowa at a later date.
Memorials may be made in Geraldine’s honor to Lutheran Hour Ministries or to LWML, or Camp Okoboji, PO Box 553 Spirit Lake, Iowa 51360.
